O&G Studio’s Anthology Chair Collection Exhibit and Panel Discussion, Hosted by NYT’s Julie Lasky
New York, NY – On May 16th, during NYCXDESIGN, furniture designer O&G Studio hosted an off-site panel with the New York Times journalist Julie Lasky to launch their retrospective chair exhibit and book launch. This special design event included a panel with the NYT’s Julie Lasky who discussed the brand, the chairs on the display, and the book with O&G Studio Founder Jonathan Glatt. The talk will accompany O&G Studio’s new Chair Compendium, a book showcasing the entire line of O&G Studio Windsor chairs, stools, settees and benches over 40 styles over the studio’s founding 15 years ago. Notable styles that are showcased include The Colt High-Back Arm Chair and Aquinnah Side Chair.

The accompanying exhibition will be a relaunch of O&G Studio’s Windsor chair collection, the largest collection of handmade, originally designed Windsor chairs in production today.

About Julie Lasky: Julie Lasky is an American journalist, editor and critic best known for her writings on design and popular culture. From 2012 to 2015, she was the deputy editor of The New York Times’ weekly “Home and Garden” section, for which she wrote a monthly column on new design called “The Details.” Prior to that, she was editor of Change Observer, a Rockefeller Foundation-funded channel of the critically acclaimed website Design Observer that focused on design and social innovation. From 2002 to 2009, she was editor-in-chief of I.D., the magazine of international product design. From 1998 to 2001, she edited Interiors magazine. She began her journalism career at Print, the graphic arts bimonthly.
